Continuous Recruitment Full and Part Time Historical Interpreters
The American Village continuously recruits to keep a roster of qualified individuals when full and part time vacancies arise. Generally, qualifications are: a bachelor's degree in American history, theatre, education, or similar field, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating competencies in American history, first-person interpretation / drama, communications, ability to relate to audiences with a wide range of interest and knowledge, etc. Submit inquiries to:

Part Time Visitor & Guest Services Associates
The American Village continuously recruits to keep a roster of qualified individuals to assist in hosting visitors and guests for special events and activities, including public events, private hosted events such as weddings, receptions, and other special occasions. Associates perform a variety of functions, all of which require a strongly positive and welcoming disposition to guests and visitors, calm demeanor, flexibility and resourcefulness, ability to resolve hospitality-related needs and issues, and extend warm and gracious hosting functions for such occasions. Activities may include assisting in executing details for catered activities, registration, tours, driving a shuttle, wedding plan execution, and similar tasks. Generally, qualifications include an associate degree or higher, experience in a hospitality, sales, or special-event professional setting, evidence of hospitable, business-like and positive dispositions, ability to work multiple weekends and at nights throughout the year, and physical ability to perform the various duties including driving a golf-type shuttle, convey packages and materials, and perform duties in a variety of weather conditions.
