Perfect Place for the Perfect Wedding
Couples looking for a site to set your wedding ceremony apart from the ordinary: Look no further than the new Colonial Chapel at the American Village. From the 100-foot tall steeple which tops off this unique structure to the imposing antique wooden pulpit imported from a church in England, the Colonial Chapel at the American Village provides a one-of-a-kind wedding experience. The building is patterned after one of the oldest churches in America, Bruton Parish Church of Williamsburg, Virginia. Inside the Colonial Chapel, rays of a late afternoon sunset filter through arched windows. Reminiscent of those lovely tradition-filled chapels of early America, the chapel can seat more than 200 guests in the rich wooden-paneled box seating and old-fashioned pews. Colonial polished brass chandeliers cast a gentle glow of period lighting, accenting the chapel's tasteful interior. The American Village wedding package includes rehearsal time, a designated area for wedding party use before and after the ceremony, use of the Village grounds, including the Southern Living Gardens, for wedding portraits, and the attendance of the American Village Chapel Coordinator during all wedding events.
According to American Village Special Events Coordinator Lori Hopson, “Through our personalized service and extra attention to details, we hope to create a relaxed atmosphere for all brides on their special day. We want your celebration to be remembered for a lifetime.”
The American Village’s historic old barn is newly renovated and is available for wedding receptions. For more information on weddings and wedding receptions or to book your special event please contact Lori Hopson Special Events Coordinator, at 205-665-3535, ext. 45.
